This year Manifestations presents the Young Talent Award. Since we started, it has always been one of our main objects to create a platform for the young and talented artists.
This year the nominees will show their exam-works at Veemgebouw 9th floor.
Judging will take place Wednesday, October 23. The winner will be announced Wednesday 23, at 16:00 by the jury:

Jury Statement:
De winnaars van de Sioux-GBO Young Talent Award zijn Pia-Marie Stute – Katja Trinkwalder met ‘Accessories for the Paranoid’.
‘Accessories for the Paranoid’ is een speculatief design project dat de discussie over privacy op een humoristische wijze naar voren brengt. De productconcepten zijn uitstekend uitgewerkt en vormgegeven. Omdat de prototypes ook werkend zijn gemaakt, zijn ze ook in de huidige tijd gebaseerd. Het project balanceert perfect op de lijn tussen abstract en concreet, zodat je je precies begrijpt wat het zou kunnen doen, terwijl het duidelijk als een concept wordt gepresenteerd.
De runner up is Ismay Schaduw met Pr__F.
Het vraagstuk van gender-representatie in combinatie met het gat in beschikbaarheid van data met betrekking tot vrouwen is belangrijk en het werk van Schaduw bracht dit overtuigend en relevant. We zijn nieuwsgierig naar de volgende stap, we geloven in wat dit heeft toegevoegd aan de tentoonstelling en zien graag meer.
